Exploring the Intersection Between Art and International Relations

Exploring the Intersection Between Art and International Relations

Artists reflect upon and interpret their environments--whether artificial, natural, or personal. But how does art in international relations affect our interactions with the world and each other? Please join Delta Phi Epsilon Pi Chapter Sorority and American Word to explore how artists' efforts have informed and enriched our world through a variety of styles and approaches.

After a performance by Lobo Marino and a reception, there will be a panel discussion moderated by Professor Hrach Gregorian with artists to explore the intersection of art and international relations.

Panelists include:

*Gabriel Asheru Benn, Global Hip Hop Cultural Ambassador, U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Educational and Cultural Affairs' "Next Level" Hip-Hop Global Diplomacy Program

*Laura Irene, Mexican-American Artist, Writer and Community Organizer, Board Member and Events Coordinator for Girls Rock! DC

*Martina Martin, Art Therapist
